Cooperatives build a better world – a global outlook on the role of cooperatives now and in the future

Welcome to Svensk Kooperation’s celebration of the UN-International Year of Cooperatives 2025 in cooperation with the International Cooperative Alliance. We are proud to present our key speaker: Mr Jeroen Douglas, General Director of the International Cooperative Alliance.

Mr. Douglas will be sharing his knowledge of cooperatives globally, why the UN has proclaimed 2025 to be the International Year of Cooperatives and what he thinks the role for cooperatives will be in the future. He will also talk about the benefits that more cooperative businesses can bring to society and what important factors need to be in place to enable more cooperative businesses to thrive.

The event is open to representatives from Svensk Kooperation’s member organisations and other people interested in the cooperative business model.

Participation is possible both digitally via Zoom and at Lilla Studion, Kulturhuset, Stockholm. For participants at Kulturhuset, lunch will be served during the event.
