Legacoop and the Italian Trade Agency organize a side-event at the occasion of Foodex 2025 in Tokyo to celebrate the role of cooperatives in the agrofood value chain and in particular in ensuring to consumers healthy food. Cooperatives play in several countries a central role in the value chain of organic products, contributing to human health and environment protection.
The event will take place on 12th March at 13:00 in the Foodex Fair (Tokyo Big Sight East Hall 3).
The event will highlight an important scientific study carried out by the University of Tor Vergata of Rome, which demonstrates how the consumption of organic products brings benefits to health and the environment, as in the Mediterranean diet.
Following the workshop, a show cooking will be held in the stand of the Italian Trade Agency, realized by a highly regarded chef, making use of the organic products of cooperatives.
The main target of will be journalists, food bloggers, buyers and institutional representatives. The event will reaffirm the role of cooperatives in the agrofood value chain and in particular in ensuring to consumers healthy food.
